All weeks of camp will be outdoors and nature oriented with plenty of opportunities to explore the forests, engage in creativity, and care for the farm animals at Bloomsbury Farms. No swimming activities are included, and play in our seasonal creek is supervised closely. We never exceed a 1:8 staff to camper ratio and love the cozy small size of our summer camp weeks! The likelihood of a very muddy pick-up at the end of each day is high!
Activities are specially curated for each week of kiddos and may include:
Hiking
Caring for farm animals (goats, chickens, ducks, geese)
Engaging in creative art projects that are seasonal, hands-on, and nature oriented
Interacting with farmers and learning about what they are planting/harvesting
Learning outdoor survival skills
Engaging in experiments and explorations that are STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) focused
Project based learning where children are encouraged and empowered to collaborate with one another
Creek/forest play
Music education
Bilingual instruction
Learning about the animals and plants that live in the farm lands and forests of our property
